Candle Care
Rough and bumpy tops after burning
The rough, bumpy tops that sometimes appear on our container candles after they have been burned are caused by the wax in the melt pool solidifying at an inconsistent rate. This is a natural characteristic of rapeseed & coconut wax, and not an indication of any mistake on your part. In fact, some people even use this feature as a way to show that their candles are made with all-natural rapeseed & coconut wax wax. Rest assured, these rough tops do not impact the candle’s performance in any way.
Burning instructions
To ensure your safety and the optimal performance of your Dibbus Design candle, please follow these burning instructions:
• Keep the candle free of any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings.
• When not in use, keep the candle away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
• Before you light the candle, it is important to always trim the wick to about 5 mm.
• Allow a new candle to burn for at least 2-3 hours, or until the top layer is completely melted.
• Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
• To keep your candle looking and burning its best, trim the wick to 5 mm after each use. This will prevent the glass (of the container candle) from turning black and help the flame burn more evenly.
• Only burn our candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
• To prevent possible heat damage on the candle holder or tray that you are using, you should always stop using the candle when there is only 5 mm of wax left.
In addition, please observe the following general safety precautions:
• Always burn the candle within sight.
• Keep the candle away from drafts and vibrations.
• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
• Never burn the candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
Disclaimer: Be aware that not following these instructions can lead to inaccurate burning time, heat damage, harm and fire hazards.
